One of the core objectives of the Radio K Alumni Association is to provide social, mentoring and networking opportunities for alumni of WMMR and Radio K (graduates and former students, staff and volunteers) and current students. We view this community as an important extension of that objective and want it to be a safe and welcoming place for all. Consider it kind of a virtual 616 Rarig where you can hang out on the couch long after you’ve graduated.

We intend for these guidelines to be revisited and reworked periodically as the community grows and evolves, but as we get started please observe the following:

Do

• Have fun
• Connect, chat, and share
• Act with kindness
• Show respect
• Be empathetic and give folks the benefit of the doubt

Do not

• Act maliciously or aim to harm others
• Engage in hate speech, violence, discrimination or harassment towards any person or group
• Post content or engage in activity that is scammy or spammy
• Go overboard on promotion. (Light promotion of yourself or any business is OK, but if you have a relationship with the thing you’re promoting, please disclose it. You may not send unsolicited direct messages to members promoting yourself or any business.)
• Share others’ personal information without their permission
• Engage in illegal activity, including but not limited to copyright or intellectual property violations
• Post any sexual content or nudity
